Fireproofing of textile ribbons for a design studio
We collaborated with a design studio specializing in textile architecture to fireproof ribbons intended for a prestigious French luxury brand for an exceptional project. This project required a solution that was both highly effective, compliant with French fire safety standards, and respectful of the textile’s aesthetic and feel.
An essential testing phase before approval
- Preliminary tests with Eurotextil : Before treating all the ribbons, we conducted a first series of tests using our Eurotextil product, which is specially designed for all types of textiles. The design studio sent us a sample ribbon so we could test the product’s reaction on the fabric.
- Optimal results without alteration : After 24 hours of drying, the tests confirmed that the color and texture of the textile remained unchanged, while still ensuring effective fire protection.
- Approval through fire testing : Once the fireproofed ribbons were returned to the design studio, their team performed internal fire tests. With the results being conclusive, they entrusted us with the entire batch of ribbons for the project’s finalization.
A treatment adapted for optimal absorption
A dipping method for fireproofing
To guarantee even penetration of the product, we opted for a dipping process. This method was the most effective for textile ribbons of this size, ensuring perfect absorption of the fireproofing treatment.
A project completed quickly by our team
Two of our technicians were assigned to this project, which was completed within two working days. Once the treatment was applied and the drying time observed, the fireproofed ribbons were returned to the design studio, ready to be used safely.
