EUROFLOR is a ready-to-use liquid applied by spraying or dipping to artificial foliage and flowers. It gives the textile fibres covered by LNE test report no. P258195 – DEC/12 the M1 classification, under the conditions of that report (100% polypropylene 70 g/m², 100% polyester 175 g/m²) — LNE is a laboratory accredited for reaction-to-fire testing.
The classification’s durability is not limited, as long as the foliage stays sheltered from the weather and is neither washed nor dry-cleaned. On a plant wall, only the parts made of polypropylene 70 g/m² or polyester 175 g/m² fall within the classification — the moss, the backing, the frame and the moulded stems do not.
Every order is delivered with the classification test report, the instructions for use and the application declaration to be completed by the applying company. In premises open to the public, the final compliance of the installation is assessed with your inspection body.

Risks and stakes: why is the treatment so important?
The Euroflor treatment greatly improves the reaction to fire of artificial foliage and flowers made of polypropylene 70 g/m² or polyester 175 g/m² and gives them the M1 classification (LNE test report no. P258195-DEC/12). It acts as a flame retardant, slowing down the reaction to fire and increasing the safety time in public spaces.
Compliance: fire safety and standards (M1)
The safety commission requires plant decorations, especially in buildings open to the public, to meet strict fire safety requirements. The classification test report proves that the treated material is classified M1. Euroflor gives the M1 classification to fabric foliage and flowers (100% polypropylene 70 g/m², 100% polyester 175 g/m²). Box, hedges and green walls made of moulded plastic are not covered by the test report and cannot be presented as M1 classified: any treatment requires prior approval from the inspection body.

Fire-retardant treatment is carried out with Euroflor, by spraying or dipping, which provides lasting indoor protection, away from water and the weather. Durability of the M1 classification: unlimited, on plants that are neither washed nor dry-cleaned. Euroflor preserves the appearance of your artificial plant (it may leave a slightly tacky, glossy finish).
Steps to follow for application:
- Preparation: The artificial plant or flower must be clean and completely dry.
- Impregnation method: Apply by spraying or dipping, until the substrate is saturated and the excess runs off, in accordance with the instructions for use. The classification and the declaration also require compliance with the substrate, saturation and other specified conditions.
- Checking saturation: It is essential to saturate the product (until the excess runs off) for the treatment declaration to be valid and to obtain the M1 classification.
- Drying and precautions: The substrate must dry completely before being displayed. Caution: After treatment, the plant must not be exposed to water, as this could cause white marks by reacting with the fire-retardant salts.
