What is textile flame retardant and why is the 12-pack advantageous for construction sites?
This liquid fabric flame retardant will allow you to delay the combustion of your textiles and prevent fires from starting. The product is available in liquid form, is odorless, non-toxic, and colorless, and comes in spray bottles or containers.
Flame retardant treatment makes textiles difficult to ignite, a legal requirement (M1 standard) for all fabrics used in public buildings and hotels/restaurants/cafes. Our Eurotextil fabric flame retardant is unique in its ability to treat both natural fibers (cotton, linen) and synthetic fibers (polyester, polypropylene). The pack of 12 ready-to-use spray bottles ensures a low unit price while offering the best logistical solution: it allows several teams to work simultaneously on large installations (curtains, decorations), optimizing time on site.
The 12-pack is the ideal solution for professionals (decorators, theatres, fitters) who prioritize multi-operator practicality and the rapid processing of numerous textile items.
How to determine the quantity of this Lot of 12 needed to obtain M1 certification?
The M1 dosage is based on the weight of your fabric, measured in “points”: one 0.5L spray bottle is equivalent to 100 points. The number of points required varies from 20 points/m² (very lightweight fabric) to 75 points/m² (very heavyweight fabric). This pack of 12 provides a total of 1200 treatment points. You must multiply the surface area to be treated by the number of points required for your fabric, then divide by 100 to determine the exact number of spray bottles to use.
Is the spray format the most effective for M1 application on complex textiles?
Yes. The sprayer allows for precise, saturation application, crucial for M1 fire resistance. You must saturate the fabric on both sides, without letting it drip dry. The easy handling and portability of the bottles make treating hanging fabrics (curtains) or complex designs much easier than using a large can. This fabric flame retardant guarantees uniform impregnation, even for delicate fibers.
How does the Lot of 12 simplify obtaining the M1 Certificate for the construction site?
Certification is simplified. You will receive a single M1 Certificate in your package, along with all the corresponding compliance stickers for the 1200 treatment points. These stickers constitute formal proof of compliance with the M1 dosage. After treating your fabrics, you complete the certificate, affix the stickers, and return it to us for final certification. This single document will prove the compliance of all your textiles to the authorities.
M1 according to standard NF P92-512. Test report no. P208356 – DEC/6.
