An urgent project before public opening
The launch of a new coworking space in Paris was nearly compromised just days before its scheduled opening. The issue? A safety commission flagged the presence of two large artificial trees located in the café area connected to the shared workspace. According to current French regulations, all artificial greenery must be treated with fire retardant to ensure user safety.
The owner, already racing against the clock to meet the planned opening date, contacted us urgently. His request: a fast on-site intervention, with an effective fireproofing treatment that would not alter the appearance of the trees, and above all, compliance with fire safety regulations—specifically the French M1 standard.
Fast response to meet the deadline
As soon as we received the request, our team found availability to intervene within 72 hours in Paris. This short lead time allowed the client to stick to the original opening date.
We scheduled the work outside the hours of other ongoing trades to avoid interfering with the final preparations on-site. A two-person team was mobilized to ensure a smooth and secure intervention process.
Full protection and invisible treatment
Our first priority was to protect all existing furniture in the space. Every item was carefully covered to avoid any overspray or residue. Light scaffolding was then installed to reach the top of the trees, which were nearly three meters high.
We used our Euroflor liquid fire retardant, specially formulated for artificial plants and flowers. The application was carried out with professional sprayers to ensure an even, drip-free coating.
Thanks to the efficiency of our team, the coworking space was able to open on time, with its decor fully compliant with fire safety standards.

DIY fireproofing? Yes, under certain conditions
It is entirely possible to fireproof artificial flowers and plants yourself, provided that you strictly follow the quantities specified by our calculator and the application methods outlined in each product sheet. The Euroflor fire retardant, designed specifically for such materials, can be used by professionals (as long as uniform spraying and full drying are ensured.)
