Ready-to-use water-based solution for solid softwood of the yellow-fir type. Made in France.
Classified M1 — the highest level a combustible material can reach under the French classification — under the conditions of LNE test report no. P258195-DEC/3, issued by the LNE, a laboratory accredited for reaction-to-fire testing. The reference application method is complete immersion of the wood components in a bath, until saturation and run-off, at 5.5 kg of product per m², i.e. approximately 0.18 m² per litre. Spraying, rolling, brushing and spray-gun application do not correspond to the reference application method.
Every order is delivered with the classification test report, the instructions for use and the application declaration, which you complete with the wood species, thickness in mm, treated area in m² and quantity of product used in kg.

What total surface area can I fire-retardant with this set of 12 × 0.5 L bottles?
EUROMASSIF BOIS is applied by immersion in a bath at a reference dose of 5.5 kg/m² measured in the wet state on removal from the bath, i.e. approximately 0.18 m² per litre absorbed. That figure is what the wood takes up, not the volume of the bath: sizing an order means adding the volume required to immerse the parts to the quantity absorbed. The 12-pack (12 × 0.5 L, 6 litres) therefore corresponds to approximately 1.1 m² of treated yellow fir. Order estimate. In all cases, application must be taken to saturation and run-off. How to use a fire retardant product for wood?
- Calculate the quantity you need: at the reference dose of 5.5 kg/m², one 0.5 L container corresponds to approximately 0.09 m² of wood. This is the quantity the wood absorbs, not the volume of the bath: an order must also cover the volume required to immerse the parts. Order estimate. In all cases, application must be taken to saturation and run-off.
- Ensure that the wood to be treated against fire is completely raw, unvarnished, unpainted, untreated, and free of artificial snow (can be applied to stained wood).
- Prepare the surface thoroughly; it must be dry, free of dust, oil, grease, dirt, resin, etc.
- Immerse the wood parts completely in the bath, both faces and all edges, until saturation and run-off, then drain and dry to constant mass in ambient conditions. Spraying, rolling, brushing and spray-gun application are outside the protocol for this product.
- Treat all surfaces except those that are inaccessible and/or not visible (panels attached to walls, the inside of objects, etc.).
- Strictly adhere to the quantity of product relative to the surface area.
- Allow it to dry for 12 to 72 hours, depending on the temperature and humidity, either naturally or with an accelerated drying process. Slight shrinkage of the wood fibers may occur.

Both are used in the same way: by complete immersion of the parts in a bath, the only application method validated by the test report. The set of 12 × 0.5 L bottles suits small parts and short runs. For larger series, the 10, 20, 30 and 120 L containers are more economical and make it easier to fill the bath.

EUROMASSIF BOIS is the exception in the range: its application declaration has no traceability-label system. You record four figures taken on site — wood species, thickness in mm, treated area in m² and quantity of product used in kg. The declaration stays with you, in the site safety register: it is not returned to us and we do not countersign it.
